FINISHING A PROJECT

Once your last bead has been sewn on, finish your project properly following the same method used for the brick stitch (see page 28).

CHANGING THREAD

To change thread in peyote stitch beadwork, follow the same method used for brick stitch (see page 28).

CIRCULAR PEYOTE STITCHES

CIRCULAR PEYOTE

You can quickly make pretty circles with the very easy circular peyote stitch. For this technique, the most important thing is to not apply tension to the thread when stitching so that the beading lies flat. The following step-by-step instructions are based on the beadwork below.

Circular peyote stitch starts in the center, stitching on beads around a small triangle of three beads, increasing in size round by round. In this project, each round was made in a different color (dark blue/orange/blue-gray/white).
